Guru Nanak Dev Jee Swasthya Mela Medical Camp honors Swachh Bharat Warriors

JAMMU, Nov 27: Sewa Bharti Jammu, in collaboration with the National Medicos Organization (NMO) J&K, orchestrated the successful organization of the Guru Nanak Dev Jee Swasthya Mela Medical Camp at the Jammu Municipal premises, a commendable initiative dedicated to the unsung heroes of Swachh Bharat - the Safai Karamcharis. Under the guidance of Jai Dev Ji, (Dada) Akhil Bhartiya Chatrawas Pramukh, Sewa Bharti, and NMO, the event received immense support and was organized in association with Jammu Municipal Corporation.
The Chief Guest, Rahul Yadav IAS, Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, graced the occasion, acknowledging the significant role of the Swachh Bharat warriors. The event aimed to express gratitude by providing essential medical services to these dedicated individuals.
Health Officer JMC Dr. Vinod Sharma, Ajay Takoo Swasthya Aayam Pramukh Sewa Bharti, and Dr. Kulwant Singh Bahu, NMO President J&K, were prominent figures in attendance. Specialized doctors, including Dr. Naresh Sharma, Dr. Sandeep Dogra, Dr. Vinod Khajuria, Dr. Geetu Mahajan, Dr. Shubam, Dr. Praval, and Dr. Kamna Singh, selflessly offered their services. The medical camp featured a special cancer screening conducted by Dr. Kamna Singh, Dr. Tasleem, Dr. Imran, Dr. Mehendra, and Dr. Khalid.
Doctors from the Department of Ayush, including Dr. Monika Rathore and her team, actively participated, offering their expertise and distributing free medicines to the beneficiaries. Six MBBS students from NMO GMC Kathua & NMO GMC Udhampur, along with eight BAMS students from Ayurveda college Akhnoor, also contributed to the camp.
Approximately 400 Safai Karamcharis were examined during the camp, with on-spot ECG and blood sugar tests for immediate health assessment. The collaborative effort of organizers and medical professionals had a positive impact on the health and well-being of the beneficiaries.
Notable personalities present at the camp included Vikaran Mahajan, Gen. Secretary, Sewa Bharti, along with Arun Ambardar, Sumit Mahajan, Pradeep Kapoor, Tralok Singh Negi, Upender Parmar, Ravi Kumar, Rakesh Gandotra, and Rajnesh Kaul from Sewa Bharti.
The organizers extended their gratitude to everyone involved in making this medical camp a success, reaffirming their commitment to community well-being and recognizing the invaluable service of the Swachh Bharat warriors.
