Hosting of International Cricket Match Boon for Sports Culture, Economy, says Kavinder

JAMMU, Nov 27: The hosting of an international cricket matches in Jammu after a gap of 30 years has been hailed as a major boost for the region's sports culture and economy. The matches, which will be part of the Legends League Cricket tournament, will see some of the world's greatest cricketers descend on the city.
This was stated by Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader in a statement issued here today
"This is a dream come true for the people of Jammu," he said, adding that International cricket has been absent from our city for far too long, and this match is a sign that Jammu is back on the international cricket map.
Kavinder commended the efforts of the Modi government in making this match possible. "This is only possible due to the pro-people policies of the Modi government," he said. "Successive governments failed to bring such things to the Jammu region. It is the Modi government that has put Jammu on the global map," he added.
The senior BJP leader said that the match is expected to boost economic of Jammu region. The match will also put Jammu in the spotlight, attracting tourists from around the world, he added.
"This match is a great opportunity for Jammu to showcase itself to the world," he said, adding "We have a rich history and culture, and this match will give us a chance to share it with the world."
Kavinder urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir to support the Modi government in the upcoming polls to continue the spree of development in Jammu and Kashmir. "The Modi government is committed to the development of Jammu and Kashmir," he said. "With your support, we can continue to make Jammu and Kashmir a prosperous and vibrant Union Territory."
