Comprehensive 5-day training program on "Women Safety" commences at SKPA

UDHAMPUR, Nov 28: The S.K. Police Academy in Udhampur has initiated a comprehensive 05-day training program for Investigators focused on the critical subject of "Women Safety." The program has attracted participation from 21 Police officers representing various regions across Jammu & Kashmir. The inauguration of the program was conducted by Shri Rajinder Kumar Gupta, IPS, SSP, and Deputy Director (Indoor) of SKPA Udhampur.
An impressive inaugural function marked the occasion, during which Rajinder Kumar Gupta, SSP, extended a warm welcome to all course participants on behalf of the Academy's Director. Emphasizing the significance of the training, he urged the officers to enhance their professional competence as investigators, with a specific focus on offenses against women and children, including the ever-evolving realm of Cyber Crime. The primary objective is to ensure that the cases they handle lead to successful convictions. The course is thoughtfully designed to encompass investigation skills and impart the latest knowledge of provisions of law, such as POCSO, JJ Act, IT Act, and others of relevance.
Eminent speakers from academia and renowned Cyber Forensic experts are scheduled to deliver lectures during the course, enriching the learning experience. Dr. Kavita Suri, Professor and Former Director of the Department of Life Long Learning at the University of Jammu, also attended the inaugural function.
The coordination of this training program is being effectively handled by Tilak Raj, Inspector, and ASI Sohan Lal, both members of the faculty at the academy.
