There is a strong demand from the workers of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) to give mandate to MLC and former minister, Mohd. Sharief Niaz from Bhaderwah assembly constituency.
The seat will fell vacant due to the election of Ghulam Nabi Azad to Rajya Sabha. INTUC workers in a meeting have said, Niaz since 1976 have been associated with the congress party and worked hard to strengthen the party at grass root level.
Those who attended the meeting include Mohd. Yaseen, Aftab Zargar, Gh. Mohid-din, Sheikh Shoket, Naresh Raina, Ravinder Raina, Riaz Ahmad and Mohd Shakur.
