Through marathon feats, Jammu runner embodies patriotism

Jammu, Nov 28: Ardent runner from Jammu, Sudhir Anand has once again captured national attention by completing a remarkable Half Marathon distance in Sub-2 timings while proudly carrying the Indian tricolor around the scenic Dal Lake in Srinagar on November 26.
As per the communiqu? issued here, Anand, a self-employed educator by profession has dedicated himself not only to promoting fitness but also nurturing young minds for nearly two decades.
Anand by profession is a self-employed educator who prepares students for various medical and engineering entrance exams.
He has been teaching physics to class 11th and 12th students for the last about 20 years and his guidance and mentorship have shaped the careers of numerous individuals many of whom have gone on to become well-established doctors, engineers, army officers and contributed to society through bureaucracy and various other professions.
An integral member of the Indian Flag Runners, Anand as per the handout has left an indelible mark across various regions of the country having completed numerous marathons and half marathons adorned with the Indian flag.
His running journey has taken him through the challenging terrains of Leh, Kargil, Jammu, Katra, Chandigarh, Bathinda, Rishikesh, New Delhi, Bangalore and now in Kashmir where he yet again showcased his commitment to fitness and patriotism.
Beyond his personal achievements, Anand has been a driving force in fostering a culture of health and wellness within his community.
His active involvement in organizing running and cycling events in Jammu has encouraged and inspired many to embrace an active lifestyle, read the handout.
Reflecting on his recent feat, Sudhir Anand stated, “Running with the Indian flag symbolizes my deep-rooted love for the nation. It’s a privilege to combine my passion for running with showcasing the pride I hold for India.”
Anand’s passion, perseverance and dedication continue to inspire others to embrace fitness while fostering a sense of national unity and pride.
