New Delhi, Nov 28: The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), a stalwart in the insurance sector, was honored with the prestigious Second Prize for excellence in display at the 42nd India International Trade Fair 2023 held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from November 14-27, 2023. The recognition was accompanied by the presentation of a Silver Medal to LIC. This esteemed accolade was a testament to LIC’s commitment to excellence and innovation in showcasing its products and services.
The award was graciously received on behalf of LIC of India by the Regional Manager (Corporate Communications), North Zone, from Shri Pradeep Singh Kharola, the Chairman and Managing Director of India Trade Promotion Organisation. The award ceremony marked a significant acknowledgment of LIC’s outstanding contribution to the exhibition.
The LIC of India pavilion, a focal point at the trade fair, was inaugurated by Shri Aditya Gupta, Executive Director (Corporate Communications), in the presence of Shri J.P.S. Bajaj, Zonal Head, and other senior officials of LIC of India, North Zone, on November 15, 2023.
The pavilion served as a comprehensive showcase of various products offered by LIC, ranging from individual to group plans. Additionally, it featured a display of the numerous awards and accolades earned by the Corporation during the fiscal year 2022-23. Visitors had the opportunity to delve into the rich history of Life Insurance Corporation of India, tracing its illustrious journey since its inception on September 1, 1956.
More than a mere display, the LIC stall at the trade fair was a vibrant combination of information dissemination, knowledge sharing, and entertainment.
The concept of insurance and LIC’s diverse product portfolio was effectively conveyed to visitors through engaging street plays. A free health check-up camp was organized on all days of the trade fair, demonstrating LIC’s commitment to the holistic well-being of its stakeholders.
To cater to a diverse audience, the LIC pavilion featured magic shows and tattoos for children, attracting crowds and creating a family-friendly atmosphere.
The stall strategically displayed call center details and social media handles for visitor information. LIC’s marketing officials and field force were present throughout the event to educate visitors on the fundamental concepts of insurance, provide insights into LIC products, and offer information about career prospects as LIC agents.
This recognition at the India International Trade Fair 2023 reaffirms LIC’s standing as a pioneering institution committed to innovation, customer engagement, and societal well-being.
