UDHAMPUR, Nov 28: To disseminate awareness about the Jal Jeevan Mission’s “Har Ghar Nal Se Jal” initiative, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai today flagged off a Prachar Rath here from the DC Office Complex.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Ghan Sham Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joginder Singh Jasrotia, ACD, Dr. Ranjeet Singh Kotwal, SE Jal Shakti, R K Mahajan, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Ashok Kumar Sharma and other concerned officers were also present.
While briefing the media, the DC highlighted Prachar Rath’s role in conveying the mission’s objectives and promoting awareness across the district. Emphasizing the importance of public participation, she urged residents to actively engage with the mission’s initiatives.
The DC added that the Parchar Rath is set to traverse the district, focusing on educating the public about the different facets of JJM, water testing by pani samitis, and the significance of water conservation. |
