NC leader abuses Dogras; Party leadership “supports” him for his insulting remarks
11/29/2023 12:23:04 PM

Jammu, November 28: Three days have passed after a senior National Conference leader passed highly derogatory remarks against the entire Dogra community and termed this community as “tyranny and cruel” but no action has been taken against him so far.

Instead of taking action against the leader for demonizing the entire Dogra community, senior National Conference leaders are circulating his video on social media to add salt to the wounds of Dogras.

A video has gone viral on social media in which a National Conference Danish Bhat was passing derogatory remarks against the Dogras while highlighting the history of his party.

“Hum Who Party Hai Jis Nay Zalim Dograon Ko Ghaseet Kar Nikala”, Bhat said while mentioning, “We are workers of the party which dragged cruel Dogras out from Kashmir”.

Although NC leaders have maintained silence over party leader’s remarks against the Dogra community, social media is flooded with comments against the NC for its anti-Dogra stance from time to time.

“JKNC has a long history of anti-Dogra sentiments and activities. At the policy level too this anti-Jammu attitude resulted in decades of regional discrimination. This latest video of NC worker Danish Bhat making anti-Dogra comments exposes the bigotry in the Party from top to bottom”, a netizen posted on social media.

It was recalled that during campaigning for the 2002 assembly elections, Omar Abdullah had highly derogatory remarks last Dogra ruler.

Massive protests were erupted in Samba after Omar Abdullah passed, which is alleged, “insulting and shameful remarks against the Dogra Hero Maharaja Hari Singh’’ by the NC leader.

A group of people had turned violent during an election rally addressed by Omar Abdullah at Samba in 2002.
