Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra organised in Surankote Town

POONCH, Nov 29: To ensure full saturation of beneficiary oriented schemes, nationwide beneficiary oriented Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was organised today here in Surankote Town. The event witnessed scores of activities majorly focusing on saturation of beneficiary oriented schemes. The Government of India, with participation of States and Union Territories, is actively engaged in the mission of saturation of its flagship schemes for providing basic amenities like sanitation facilities, essential financial services, access to LPG connections, housing for the poor, food security, proper nutrition, reliable healthcare, clean drinking water, quality education etc. and making required services accessible to all targeted and eligible beneficiaries. Deputy commissioner Poonch Yasin M. Choudhury inaugurated the VBSY camp organised as part of the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC appealed to the general public to take advantage of such camps and enroll themselves for availing the benefits of different schemes.
Later, Commissioner Secretary, Industries and Commerce (I&C), Vikramjit Singh visited the VBSY camp and inspected the stalls.
Appreciating the effort of district administration Poonch, he called for holding massive outreach programs during the campaign to ensure that development reaches the last mile and last beneficiary.
On the second day of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, eleven other camps at eleven separate panchayats were also organised.
