RAMNAGAR, Nov 29: Sub Divisional Magistrate, Ramnagar, Shishir Gupta, who is also Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), led a meeting with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to evaluate the progress achieved under the ongoing Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls for the year 2023-24.
Over 150 BLOs and Supervisors actively participated in the meeting. The SDM urged the BLOs to ensure the timely completion of the revision, covering tasks such as adding new voters, rectifying omissions, and deleting duplicate entries. He provided directives for mobilizing resources to expedite the Special Summary Revision 2023-24 process. He also extended a request to the general public, emphasizing thatindividuals turning 18 or above by January 1, 2024, are eligible to apply for voter registration.
Following the meeting, a rally was organized to raise awareness about the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls. The rally commenced at Government Model Higher Secondary School, Ramnagar passing through Hospital Road, Gupta Chowk, Bus Stand, and concluding at the SDM office.
Among others, Tehsildar, Ramnagar, Shrinath Suman, Principal GHSS, Ramnagar, and other staff members of the SDM office.
