Inauguration of Annual Culture Function at BGSBU, Rajouri

JAMMU, Nov 29: In a significant event at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri, Dr. Ali Asghar Shah, Dean Academic Affairs, inaugurated the Annual Culture function on "9 Years of Seva Sushasan aur Garib Kalyan," "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat," "Mission LiFE," and "Swachhta." The event is part of an Integrated Outreach and Communication Programme organized by the Central Bureau of Communication, Rajouri, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.
The inauguration ceremony, held on November 29, 2023, witnessed the presence of Sh. Ghulam Abbas Chaudhary, Joint Director of CBC and PIB J&K, along with faculty members of BGSBU, staff of CBC J&K, and other dignitaries.
Dr. Ali Asghar Shah, in his role as the chief guest, inaugurated the cultural function and addressed the gathering. He highlighted various schemes related to higher education and commended the focused awareness initiatives regarding central schemes and programs by the district administration.
Ghulam Abbas Chaudhary, Joint Director of CBC and PIB J&K, expressed gratitude towards the district administration and BGSBU authorities for their cooperation and support. He encouraged the audience to disseminate information about the event and the ongoing exhibition, open daily from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., free of cost.
Farah Jabeen, Sub-Inspector, J&K Police Rajouri, addressed the gathering, shedding light on various schemes related to combating drug abuse. Dr. Shah Riyaz from the Health Department also spoke about the schemes and initiatives in their respective departments.
The event included the honoring of winning students from National Public HSS and Delhi Public School, Rajouri, for their achievements in drawing competitions and cultural activities. The ceremony concluded with a mesmerizing theme-based cultural program presented by artists from CBC, captivating the audience.
