11/29/2023 11:40:27 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 29: In an emergency meeting convened today at the Forum's Head Office in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, Ganesh Khajuria, Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Teachers' Forum (JKTF), expressed deep concern over the prolonged delay in releasing the 4% Dearness Allowance (D.A.) instalment due to government employees since July 2023.
During the meeting, Chairman Ganesh Khajuria brought attention to the pressing issues faced by government employees, particularly the delay in disbursing the essential 4% D.A. instalment. He emphasized the adverse impact of this delay on employees grappling with the high inflation rate and striving to meet the daily needs of their families. Despite the anticipation during the festival season, the release of the D.A. instalment has been deferred, causing disappointment among the workforce.
Khajuria appealed to higher authorities to prioritize the concerns of government employees and promptly announce the pending 4% D.A. instalment. He stressed the urgency of releasing the instalment with the November 2023 salary to alleviate the financial strain on employees. Additionally, he urged that any arrears be disbursed in cash along with the November salary.
The meeting was attended by prominent members of the Forum, including S. Surat Singh Toofani, Darshan Sharma, Gopal Singh, Rajinder Gupta, Raj Singh, Ravinder Singh, Kuldeep Singh Bandral, Kuldeep Verma, P. D. Singh, Gautam Singh, Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Narinder Chib, Majeed Choudhary, Iqvinder pal Singh, Pawan Sharma, Ashwani Raina, Gurmeet Singh, and several others.
The Forum members collectively voiced their concerns and advocated for the timely resolution of the D.A. instalment issue, emphasizing the critical importance of addressing the financial well-being of government employees in the Union Territory.
