JAMMU, Nov 29: A meeting of Prominent of socio-Political Leaders and activists of Kashmiri Pandit Community was held today under the leadership of M.K.Yogi in which threadbare discussions and confabulations were held on the important and urgent issues of the community facing in exile and appealed Government of India and UT administration to address these genuine problems on priority basis.
The meeting was attended by Vishal Jotish, Bal Krishan Bhat, M.N. Pandita, Rakesh Bhat, Munish Wattal, Maharaj Krishan, Shuban Ji Raina, Ashwani Bhat and many others
In a Press statement issued here today, M.K. Yogi & Vinod Pandita said that the issues discussed and deliberated upon during the meeting were formation of concrete rehabilitation Policy for Kashmiri migrants back in valley in a time bound period, Releasing of monthly floor, organizing awareness Programmes on mass level for eradicating drug abuse menace from migrant camps/non camps, creation & advertisement of new ten thousand posts for unemployed educated Migrant Youth, enhancement of monthly cash assistance, a long pending demand of migrants, ensuring delivery of voter id cards to all migrants, formation of Apex committee comprising of sincere and dedicated representatives of the community , construction of more residential quarters for migrants in view of increase in population in Jammu, implementation of all central Government sponsored schemes for migrants in camps/non camps, implementation of immovable migrant property Act, 1997 in letter and spirit and ensuring resolution of migrant grievances by all custodians in valley in a time bound period etc.
Both these leaders appealed Government of India and UT administration to take these important issues with the concerned authorities on priority basis for early resolution
