RAMNAGAR, Nov 30: In a bid to foster creativity and scientific curiosity among students, Government Degree College Ramnagar organized a Model Exhibition Competition themed "Know Your Body and Your Environment." The event, held at the Zoology laboratory, saw enthusiastic participation from first-year NEP students under the guidance of Dr. Bhavnaish Chand, the college Principal, and Sumita Rao, HOD Zoology.
Approximately 30 students showcased their ingenuity by building models related to the theme, utilizing a variety of materials, including waste and abandoned household items. The competition aimed to promote hands-on learning and align with the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The esteemed panel of judges included Prof. Suresh Kumar Dogra from the Department of Physics, Dr. Kewal Kumar from the Department of Botany, and Prof. Sonia Raj from the Department of Zoology. They assessed the models based on criteria such as relevance to the theme, the type of materials used, and overall presentation and creativity.
The event concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony, graced by Dr. Bhavnaish Chand as the guest of honor and Colonel N. Salathia, Administrative Officer, J&K Boys Bn.
