| PK supports AIKS youth march call | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 11-Panun Kashmir (PK) in an executive body meeting today extended support to the proposed march of the AIKS youth wing from Relief Commissioners office to the civil secretariat here tomorrow. Dr. Agnishekhar while addressing the meeting said that the employment package announced by the Prime Minister for the displaced youth has remained unimplemented and as a result the youth of the community are forced to come on the streets in desperation. He said that over fifteen thousand posts of Kashmiri Pandit employees that have fallen vacant in Kashmir be reserved for the unemployed youth of the community as demanded by Panun Kashmir in all the three Round Table Conferences. It may be recalled that the locals have been filled in these posts of Kashmiri Pandits and also regularized by the government. To add insult to injury the Prime Minister’s employment package is being made conditional to serve in far flung Kashmir valley and an undertaking is sought to this effect. There seems to be a sinister design to link this employment package with the sham return being planned by the government, he lamented. Panun Kashmir urged the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to de-link the return of Kashmiri Pandits from the proposed employment package, as return is an independent and separate issue involving the long term rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in separate Homeland. Panun Kashmir appeals the community to participate in large number in the youth rally organized by the Youth Wing of AIKS here on Thursday.
