UDHAMPUR, Nov 30: Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Jammu has reiterated that the common people of J&K are leading a miserable life due to the absence of a popular government. He emphasized upon the dire need to hold Assembly elections in J&K at the earliest in order to do away with the miseries thrust upon the people by the proxy Govt of BJP in J&K.
He expressed this while interacting with the prominent party functionaries of Udhampur- Reasi Zone at Tikri where One Day Delegate Convention is scheduled to be held on 3rd December, 2023 which will be addressed by Party Vice President and former Chief Minister Jammu and Kashmir Jenab Omar Abdullah. Mr Gupta visited Tikri to take stock of the preprations.

Rattan Lal Gupta, after giving a keen and patient hearing to the party functionaries castigated the Govt for not making pre-winter arrangements in the region. He said that it is the duty of the J&K Administration to ensure that adequate stock of essential commodities in the far flung areas of the region which remain cut off from the rest of the nation after winter snowfall in the region. He said that if the administration still fails to do so it could prove fatal for the people of these remote areas. He asked the authorities concerned in the Udhampur Administration to shun their lackadaisical attitude and initiate appropriate measures for making available the essential commodities to the people in the areas prone to cut-off in winter season before it is too late.
Meanwhile, the senior NC leader asked the party functionaries to further strengthen the party by remaining present among the people at the grass roots level to address their genuine concerns.
