The Jat awareness society (JAS) have urged upon the patron national conference and ex. Chief minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah to nominate S. Babu Balwant Singh as MLC of the party.
In a meeting of community members, advocate, Harmeet Singh and general secretary of the society who chairs the meeting said, for the lost boys no political party has ever tried to give representation to Jat community having considerable number in the state. He said Balwant Singh as a Jat leader has always preached the policies of N.C. He said Babu is made MLC, it will strength NC during parliament election. He asked the CM and Dr. Farooq to full fill the promises made during the lat election of giving OBC status to Jat community.
