Two different Hit, Run cases solved by Jammu Police

Jammu, Nov 30: Two different hit and run cases solved by Jammu Police in the areas under the jurisdictions of PS Gharota and PS Khour and accused persons got arrested.
On 27-11-2023 an information was received at PS Gharota regarding an accident which occurred at Kanger Morh in which a person namely Nandan Singh got injured. The locals took him to nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 95/2023 U/S 279/304-A IPC got registered at Police Station Gharota and investigation started.
After this police teams of PS Gharota led by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Sharma assisted by SHO PS Gharota Inspr Joginder Singh Chib did strenuous efforts and with the help of technical assistance finally arrested the accused driver of matador bearing Registration No JK02AN-3985 namely Rashpal Chand S/o Kikar Dass.
Similarly another information was received at PS Khour through reliable sources regarding an accident near Lord Shiva temple Pangali where a motorcycle hit an e rickshaw and injured two persons.
On this a case FIR No. 103/ 2023 U/S 279/337 got registered at PS Khour and investigation started.
After this special police teams of PS Khour led by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Sharma assisted by SHO PS Khour Inspr Ravi Kant did strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV footages of the area finally arrested the accused person namely Vishal Kumar S/o Tilak Raj R/o Pangali Tehsil Khour and also seized the motorcycle.
Further investigation of the cases is going on.
