As per press release with the passage of every day the people of these districts are almost stranded and helpless in procuring their day to day needs. The authorities should make every effort to ensure the carriage of essential commodities even by airlifting the same to meet the exigencies as has been done invariably during the period of such crises. Hence the traders and shop keepers who are extending every possible cooperation to the public in general and authorities in particular should not be subjected to any harassment in this matter. The business community of both the districts have assured Ram Shay, President, Chamber of commerce and industry that no one will be allowed to involve in hoarding or other unscrupulous activities, hence chamber feels that it is incumbent upon the authorities also to accept the cooperation of the business community in the right spirit instead of taking any repressive and confrontational measures. Further Chamber appeals to the government to find out the alternative to the damaged road on war footing to save the people of these districts from further agony and distress, the release added.
