Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Dec 1: Red Ribbon Club of Government Degree College (GDC) Neeli Nallah Udhampur took a proactive step by organizing a poster-making and slogan-writing competition on World AIDS Day. Approximately 12 students participated, showcasing their creativity and commitment to spreading awareness about the causes and preventive measures against AIDS. Addressing the gathering, Prof. Hans Raj, the Principal of the college, enlightened the students about the hazardous effects of AIDS and emphasized preventive measures, aligning with this year's theme, "Let Communities Lead." He encouraged the students to act as ambassadors in removing the stigmas associated with HIV-AIDS from society. In the poster-making and slogan-writing competition, Aarti Devi secured the first prize, followed by Ranjana Devi in the second position and Sakshi Sharma in the third position. Consolation prizes were also awarded to other participants, acknowledging their efforts and contributions. The event was meticulously organized by Dr. Sunil Tanoch, Convenor of the Red Ribbon Club, along with Prof. Shaista Yasmeen and Dr. Akhter Hussain. The presence of Dr. Zahoor Mir, Dr. Nishat Khan, Dr. Mahima Bhagat, and Mr. Pradeep Kumar added to the success of the event.
