Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 1: In a proactive move to address the growing concern of mental health in students, the Academic Division of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) organized a one-day program on mental health awareness at JKBOSE, Bemina, Srinagar. The event aimed to sensitize students, teachers, and employees about the significance of mental health and emotional well-being. The program featured participation from renowned psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, assistant professors, JKBOSE officers, officials, teachers, and students from various schools in District Srinagar. The initiative focused on promoting self-awareness, understanding mental health issues, and recognizing the importance of life skills such as communication, empathy, stress management, and time management. Dr. Mohammad Maqbool Dar, Head of IMHANS-K, presided over the function, emphasizing the crucial role of open communication with children. Prof (Dr) Parikshat Singh Manhas, Chairperson of JKBOSE, commended the efforts of the Academic Division in conducting programs that raise awareness about significant issues. He stressed the importance of maintaining open communication channels with children to provide them emotional support and help strengthen their mental health.
