Anish Gouraha assumes charge as head of NHPC's Salal Power Station

JAMMU, Dec 1: Anish Gouraha, General Manager (Electrical), NHPC, has assumed the position of Head at NHPC's Salal Power Station on December 1, 2023. Prior to this role, he served at the Design (E&M) Division in NHPC's Corporate Office, overseeing the Detail Engineering of E&M packages for projects such as Kishanganga and Teesta-VI.
Gouraha, an Electrical Engineering graduate from GEC Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, and an MBA (HR) holder, started his career with NHPC in 1997 at Salal Power Station. His initial assignments included survey works for the Geothermal Project at Tattapani until 2004. Subsequently, he contributed to the Detail Engineering of E&M packages for projects like Subansiri Lower, TLDP-III, and TLDP-IV at NHPC's Corporate Office.
His career also involved a posting at Uri-II Power Station, where he successfully handled key responsibilities. Gouraha's return to NHPC's Salal Power Station as the Head signifies a strategic move aimed at leveraging his experience and expertise in managing the station's operations.
Upon joining Salal Power Station, Shri Gouraha engaged with the Head of Departments, motivating the team to work with dedication and enthusiasm. His extensive background in electrical engineering, combined with managerial skills, positions him well to lead Salal Power Station efficiently. The appointment reflects NHPC's commitment to deploying experienced professionals in key leadership roles for the effective management of its power stations.
