4th Caddy Golf Tournament showcases talent and skill at Jammu Tawi Golf Course

JAMMU, Dec 4: The Jammu Golfers Association successfully organized the 4th Caddy Golf Tournament at the Jammu Tawi Golf Course, attracting 60 caddies from various golf clubs in Jammu. The prestigious event witnessed a display of exceptional talent and sportsmanship.
The tournament commenced with a Tee Off by RS Chib, Former Sports Minister, in the esteemed presence of Bharat Sharma, JP Singh, Former Member of PSC, and Ch. Manmohan Singh, Former Mayor of JMC. Amarjeet Singh, Special Secretary of Tourism, graced the occasion as the chief guest, with Manav Gupta serving as the guest of honour.
Muzaffar Hussain emerged as the overall winner of the tournament, showcasing exceptional skills on the course, while Hafiz Ali was declared the Runner Up. The awards for Longest Drive, Straight Drive, and Nearest to Pin were bestowed upon M/S Prakash Chander, Arshad Ali, and Balbir Singh, respectively.
In an address to the participants and media, R S Chib congratulated all the awardees and emphasized the significance of such tournaments in providing a platform for young caddies to excel in the field of golf. He highlighted the crucial role played by caddies in supporting golfers, stating that a professional caddy can be a significant advantage to a golfer.
Amarjeet Singh, Special Secretary to the Tourism Department, commended the organizers for their consistent efforts in conducting the tournament annually. He expressed that such events provide valuable opportunities for caddies to enhance their knowledge and skills across different categories.
The event was attended by notable figures, including Vijay Saraf, Former Secretary of Amar Singh Club, Dr. Amarjeet Singh, and Rohit Gupta, the Coach at JTGC. The successful completion of the 4th Caddy Golf Tournament underscored the commitment of the Jammu Golfers Association to promote golfing excellence and nurture emerging talent in the region.
