Govt SPMR College of Commerce organizes Rangoli Making Competition

JAMMU, Dec 5: The Red Ribbon Club of Govt. SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu, organized a Rangoli Making Competition to mark World AIDS Day under the theme "Let Communities Lead." The event aimed to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and emphasize the role of communities in addressing related challenges.
Dr. Surinder Kumar, the Principal of the college, addressed the students, stressing the importance of eradicating the menace of HIV/AIDS through mass awareness programs. He encouraged students to actively participate in various awareness camps and activities to spread information across different groups. A human chain was formed as part of the awareness initiative, reinforcing the commitment of participants to the cause.
The Rangoli Making Competition saw the participation of about 10 students, who created beautiful rangolis depicting the community's role in addressing HIV/AIDS challenges. Ms. Priya secured the first prize, Yeasmin Nahar secured the second position, and the third position was shared by Prabjot Kour and Sharanjeet Kour. The judging was done by Prof. Pawan Kumar Gupta, HoD Commerce.
The entire event was managed by the Red Ribbon Committee, highlighting the college's commitment to spreading awareness and engaging students in initiatives related to public health issues.
