| Jugal stresses for timely completion of rural works | | | SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 20 – Saying the peace is imperative for overall development of the state, the Minister for R&B Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak has said that under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad Jammu and Kashmir is running fast towards the progress adding that day is not far when our state would achieve the goal of ‘prosperous state’ of the country on all fronts. Addressing a largely attending gathering today at Watangoo-Kund-Devsar, the Minister said that due to the sincere efforts of the Chief Minister various revalutationary and bold initiatives have been taken for bringing the complete peace and carry forward the development process in the state. He said it was endeavour of UPA government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi that two Roundtable Conferences were held at New Delhi and Srinagar successfully, in which political mainstream parties participated. He said a historical decision has been taken in Srinagar RTC to frame the five working groups which have assumed working for the fulfillment of peoples aspirations. Welcoming the recent talks at Havana between Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Pakistan President General Mushraf, Mr. Charak hoped that all bilateral issues between two countries would be resolved through dialogue. Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Rural Development Mr. Jugal Kishore said that efforts are on to further streamline working of Rural Development department so that rural people have an easy access to avail benefit of various welfare schemes launched by the state and central governments. He directed the officers of Rural Development department to work in coordination for ensuring timely completion for rural development works which are under execution under various schemes. He said that rural development department has to play vital role in the upliftment of the living standard of rural masses. Senior officers of R&B and Rural Development accompanied the Ministers.
