GDC Dharmari hosts YuvaVani workshop to promote agricultural awareness

Reasi, Dec 7: Government Degree College (GDC) Dharmari organized a ‘One Day Workshop’ on YuvaVani, as part of the Agriculture Department’s awareness campaign, on December 7, 2023. The workshop aimed to enlighten students about opportunities and advancements in the agricultural sector. Dalbir Singh, Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer (SDAO), led the team of resource persons for the event.
The program was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Preetpal Kour, who welcomed the expert team and emphasized the growing significance of agricultural enterprises and the diverse opportunities within the sector. During the session, resource persons, including Vikas Sharma, Anil provided intensive training to 62 interested students. The students received insights into agricultural enterprises and were informed about the DAKSH and Kisan Sathi Portals. Enrollment on the Daksh portal was initiated during the workshop, with plans for further engagement. The event was organized in collaboration with the NSS Unit and Career Counseling Cell of the college, under the leadership of Prof. Baldev Singh. Coordination for student participation was managed by Ashok Kumar, PTI, while other faculty members, including Dr. Javid Iqbal Tramboo, Dr. Shabeer Ahmed, Dr. Balvinder Singh, Tinu Bala, Miss Samiti Sharma, Manzoor Ahmed Dar, and Manzoor Ahmed Rather, actively contributed to the success of the workshop. The initiative aimed to equip students with knowledge and opportunities in the field of agriculture, fostering a deeper understanding of the sector’s importance and potential.
