Billawar, Dec 7: In a collaborative effort to enhance the visual appeal of the college campus, the NSS Unit of GDC Billawar joined forces with the Eco Club to embark on a mission of beautification through the planting of diverse flowering plants. Under the guidance of Dr. Alka Sharma, Principal of GDC Billawar, the campus underwent a colorful transformation.
Prof. Naresh Sharma, Convenor of IQAC, expressed, “The idea was to beautify the campus and give it a vibrant look. So, we planted the flower plants of different colors that catch everyone’s attention instantly.” The initiative aimed to create an aesthetically pleasing environment that adds vibrancy to the college surroundings.
NSS volunteers dedicated their efforts to establish the base structure and plant various flowers, including the vivid marigold, which contributes significantly to the garden area’s visual appeal. Prof. Bansi Lal, NSS Program Officer, commended the hard work and commitment of NSS volunteers and faculty members, including Prof. Naresh Sharma, Prof. Rajesh Kumar, and Dr. Manu Sharma. Their dedication was evident as they took time out of their busy schedules to contribute to the campus beautification. The entire program was conducted under the efficient leadership of Prof. Bansi Lal, with the support of Prof. Sunita Devi and Prof. Kanchan Mala. Their combined efforts not only added a burst of colors to the college landscape but also fostered a sense of community and pride among the students and faculty members. The beautification project reflects the commitment of GDC Billawar towards creating an inspiring and visually appealing educational environment.
