MHAC school Nagbani hosts DAV National Sports 2023 cluster level tournament, emerges overall champion

Jammu, Dec 7: MHAC School Nagbani played host to the DAV National Sports 2023 (Cluster Level) Tournament, featuring participants from all DAV-managed schools in the Jammu and Kashmir cluster.
The tournament, spanning from December 5th to December 7th, witnessed intense competition across 30 games in the U-14, U-17, and U-19 categories.
Principal Mr. Brij Mohan of MHAC Nagbani served as the cluster and Zonal Incharge for the tournament, overseeing the successful execution of the sporting event. Participating schools included MHS DAV Cent Public School Akhnoor and MHS DAV Public School RS Pura.
The opening ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Tushar Kant Sharma, a retired IAS Officer and prominent LMC member. Mr. Sharma, in his address, declared the tournament open and encouraged students to embrace sports as an integral part of their daily routine.
The closing ceremony on December 7th saw Sh. S.S. Kotwal, SSP (Director Securities, J&K), as the Chief Guest. Esteemed guests included Sh. Alok Betab, ARO J&K Zone, and Mr. Pankaj Kaushik, Principal of MHS DAV Public School, RS Pura. The guests acknowledged the achievements of students in the sports sector and emphasized the importance of sports in life.
The overall championship points for athletics were as follows:
• MHAC School Nagbani: 07 Gold, 03 Silver, 01 Bronze
• MHS DAV Cent Public School Akhnoor: 02 Gold, 06 Silver, 01 Bronze
• MHS DAV Public School, RS Pura: 01 Gold, 01 Silver
MHAC School Nagbani secured the overall trophy, with Principal Mr. Brij Mohan extending congratulations to the players and commending the efforts of the sports department for orchestrating a successful and impactful event.
The tournament showcased not only the sporting prowess of the students but also fostered a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie among the participating schools.
