| Romesh to take up waiving of VAT with CM | | |
Srinagar, September 20 – Minister of State for Industries and Commerce Dr. Romesh Chander Sharma today assured a dharna today at Udhampur demanding waiving off Value Added Tax (VAT) on purchasing of various items from CSD canteens that he would bring this matter to the notice of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad.
The Ex-servicemen apprised the minister that former members of various defence forces in other states do not have to pay VAT on purchases made from CSD canteens Dr. Sharma told them that every effort would be made to redress their grievance.
Later, the ex-servicemen called off their dharna. |
