JAMMU, Dec 12: The Cluster University of Jammu organized open selection trials for the Men's and Women's Air Rifle and Air Pistol events at the Mission Olympics Shooting Academy in Jammu, opposite Toph Bridge Akhnoor, on December 12, 2023. The tournament was conducted under the overall supervision of Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director of Physical Education & Sports at the Cluster University of Jammu.
In the Men's 10M Air Rifle event, Himanshu Gupta, Krish Singh Chaouhan, and Arun Dev Singh of MAM College, Paras Dalbir Singh from GGM Science College, and Sainath Jogdand from the School of Social Sciences were selected for the Inter-University tournaments for the session 2023-2024. Lalit Singh from Govt. MAM College was selected in the 10M Pistol (Men) event.
For the Women's section, Aneesha Sharma, Shimani Choudhary, and Sumeet Choudhary were selected in the 10m Air Rifle Women's events for the Inter-University tournament, session 2023-2024.
Aijaz Malik, Physical Director of Govt. SPMR College of Commerce, and Ramandeep Kralia, Physical Director of GCOE Jammu, were present during the occasion to witness the selection trials.
The matches were officiated by Aman Singh and Vishal Mehra, ensuring fair play and accurate evaluation of the participants. The successful candidates selected during these trials will represent the Cluster University of Jammu in various Inter-University tournaments for the upcoming academic session. |
