KATHUA, Dec 12: Principal GDC, Kathua Prof Seema Mir felicitated NSS Volunteer Vishal Gupta who participated in National Integration Camp 2023 w.e.f 29th- 05th Dec 2023 at Kalyani University at Nadia in West bengal.
In an effort to spread the message of Unity in Diversity among the youth of the country, The NSS Regional Directorate of West Bengal took the mega initiative of hosting the National Integration Camp 2023. The camp is being organized by NSS Regional Directorate West Bengal under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India in collaboration with NSS Regional Directorate New Delhi.
The volunteers from different States and Union Territories namely Asom, Andhra Pardesh, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Jammu Kashmir, Madhya Pardesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Kerala and West Bengal participated in the camp. A team of eight volunteers from J&K Union territory participated in the camp and One volunteer was from GDC, Kathua who participated in the camp.During this camp, volunteers also had got a chance to visited historical places in West Bengal like Dakshineswari Temple and Belur Math the headquarter of Ramakrishan Math and Rama Krishan Mission which was founded by Swami Vivekanand Ji, the youth Icon of India.The participating volunteer today met with Principal GDC, Kathua and shared his experience. Vishal Gupta also stood first and third in Rangoli and Debate competition in the National Integration Camp. Principal Prof. Seema Mir congratulated him for being a part of this National Integration Camp and bring laurels for the college and state.She also appreciated the efforts of NSS program officers Prof Manmohan Singh and Prof. Neha Bandral for preparing volunteers for selection in these camps. Senior Most faculty members Prof Pawan Kumar,HOD Geography, Dr Kehar Singh, Dr Shivani Sharma, Dr Kulbir Singh, Dr Pinki and Dr Jogbinder Singh Soodan, Director Physical and Sports education also congratulated volunteer and NSS Program officers for this achievement.
