Jodhamal celebrates 19th prize giving ceremony

JAMMU, Dec 12: Jodhamal Public School commemorated its 19th prize giving ceremony on Tuesday, 12 Dec 2023. Ramesh Kumar (IAS) Divisional Commissioner, Jammu was the chief guest and Meenakshi Kilam, former Registrar, University of Jammu was the guest of honour. Baljeet Kaur, Commissioner of Income Tax was the special guest.
Annual Report of the session was read by Principal, Girish Kumar. He thanked the school's stakeholders for the 1+ ranking of the school for the ninth year in a row in J&K by the most prestigious journal, Education World. He informed the batch average of class 10th which was 88% and class 12th which was 84.1% for the year 22-23. He applauded the remarkable achievements of Karman Singh who is amongst the youngest Indian to be awarded a BRITISH PATENT, Sarthak Gupta for winning the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) App Inventor Appathon 2023, Jayendra Singh Jasrotia for creating a website 'Atmanirbhar Jammu', Aaditya Singh Sambyal, an Awardee of the 'Roll of Honour' in International Space Olympiad and Ranveer Singh Shan for representing India in Under-19 Roller Skating World Championship in Italy and 19th Asian Championship in China. He told the audience about the athletic capabilities of JMPIANS, stating that school swimming nationals, skating and roller-skating nationals, and matsogi do nationals will be held throughout India and would feature 14 swimmers, 32 skaters, and 25 matsogi do participants from Jodhamal. He notified that over 120 Jodhamal authors have their books published and available for online ordering, 200 children had taken the Trinity College London exams, and said that JMPS had the rare distinction to host 10 National Media outlets for the historic Chandrayaan launch. He reported that Jodhamal had manufactured a Drone swarm consisting of over 25 drones.
Moments of the function were marked by the precious words of advice by the Chief Guest Ramesh Kumar, during an address to the parents. He had all the praises for the brilliant show. He specifically applauded the school's role in getting the phenomenal placements of its alumni in the top-notch colleges and universities of international repute. He made a special mention of the developing infrastructure and highlighted Jodhamal to continue as the pioneer in the world of education.
The Trustee expressed gratitude to all Team Jodhamal Members and stakeholders for putting on such a fantastic event. He also emphasized that Jodhamal produced the complete idea, writing, polishing, and execution without any outside assistance, thereby underlining the essence of "AATMANIRBHAR JODHAMAL'' culminating the hardwork of around 1200 students directly or indirectly involved in the same.
The English play "Ornate Odyssey," which suggested a journey characterized by wisdom and beauty of lifelong lessons and laid the theme of empathy and expertise aligning with the evolving 21st-century ethos with a shift of history from "his story to HER STORY," was the show's standout performance. It is imperious to say that Jodhamal's formulation was a masterwork. Members of Team Jodhamal wrote the screenplay, directed, and produced the play. 'Heal The World' was a beautiful presentation that gave a brief glimpse of various 'giving back to the society' initiatives, drives and scholarships in an endeavour to make JMPIANS civilised and honourable citizens of the future.
The program commenced with the sacred act of lighting the lamp proceeding with the welcome address by the school Head girl, Akaisha Handa. The Army and Navy Cadets of NCC area greeted the guests. The school rock band, STAMPEDE captivated the audience with an unparalleled stage performance. More than 120 students participated in the well synchronised Orchestra and chorus transporting the audience to the eclectic era of 70, 80, 90's followed by more than 70 participants in diligently choreographed Kathak Dance and Ganesh Stuti.
On the occasion, Jodhamal reels' 2023, behind the scenes videos were unveiled projecting the unceasing team effort. The main Awards were received by the school's Head boy/girl, Deputy Head boy/girl, Academic prefects and CCA prefects. Annual Sports Trophy was received by Challenge House, CCA by Enterprise House, Academic Trophy by Invention House and Overall Trophy by Enterprise House .The celebrations concluded on a happy note. The vote of thanks was proposed by the Head boy, Anish Arora.
