Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra reaches Khour block

KHOUR, Dec 12: As part of the nationwide campaign to spread awareness about different schemes launched by the Government of India, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra reached Khour block today.
The yatra was organised under the guidance of Preeti Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Development Jammu and under the overall supervision of Dheeraj Sharma, Block Development Officer Khour (Nodal Officer VBSY Block Khour).
The yatra visited Govt High School Kotmaira Lower and Govt Middle School Sarmala Panchayat Kotmaira Pahariwala Upper of Block Khour, where it was welcomed by the Vice Chairman DDC Jammu, Suraj Singh, along with other dignitaries and officials.
The yatra team interacted with the general public, PRI members, students and teachers and informed them about the benefits and features of flagship schemes such as MGNREGA, PMAY(G), Swacch Bharat Mission (G), KCC, Ayushman Bharat Yojana Card, Har Ghar Jal Jeevan Mission, Jan Dhan Yojana, Umeed(NRLM), PM Vishwakarma, ICDS(Social welfare), Ladli Beti, Khelo India, One Nation One Ration, Pension Yojana and Digital Payment infrastructure.
The team also distributed pamphlets, posters and brochures related to these schemes and urged the people to avail the benefits of these schemes and contribute to the development of the nation.
The general public and PRI members appreciated the efforts of ACD Jammu and BDO Khour for organising the yatra and thanked them for bringing the yatra to their area. They also expressed their gratitude to the Government of India for launching such welfare schemes for the upliftment of the poor and marginalised sections of the society.
The yatra concluded with the singing of the national anthem and a vote of thanks by the BDO Khour.
