| Khatana urges for release of funds under SCA to TSP | | |

Srinagar, Feb 13- Senior PDP leader and MLC Chowdary Nizamudin Khatana has urged for release of funds under SCA to TSP and Article 275(1) of the Constitution of India for the year 2008-09 and revalidation of unspent funds in favour of the concerned districts so that the funds could not get lapsed.
Nizamudin met Principal Secretary to CM today here today and apprised him about the official inefficiency in getting the requisite funds released to the tune of Rs.13.52 crores under SCA to TSP and cores of Rupees under Article 275(1) of Indian Constitution due for the current financial year.
Nizamudin said that it was very unfortunate on part of deprived Gujjar and other tribal communities that funds earmarked for their development by Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs were not utilized by the state government because the utilization certificate for the utilized funds has not been submitted to the concerned ministry as yet. Even the physical and financial status of the schemes included in the current year's action plan has not been submitted in due course of time, he alleged.
Nizamudin urged upon the state government to take immediate measures for release of funds so that the developmental activities for listed communities could be initiated at the earliest.
