Hands-on training on EVM/VVPAT conducted for DLMTs/ALMTs

KISHTWAR, Dec 15: To fortify the electoral process and ensure proficiency in the handling of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) devices, comprehensive training sessions were organized today for the district and Assembly Level Master trainers (DLMTs&ALMTs) and EVM/VVPAT awareness teams across all three Assembly Constituencies of Kishtwar district.
Conducted under the guidance and supervision of District Election officer Dr. Devansh Yadav, the training aimed to equip the participants with hands-on experience of utilizing EVMs and VVPATs effectively. The sessions were meticulously designed to elucidate the administrative procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) laid down by the Election Commission of India (ECI) with regard to the operation of EVM-VVPAT and its administrative procedures.
The training, led by Nodal Officer trainings and Master trainer Riaz Ahmed Batt along with SLMT, Zakir Hussain, ACP Kishtwar provided detailed insights into Nomination process and the operational intricacies of EVMs and VVPATs, ensuring a comprehensive understanding among the DLMTs/ALMTs and the dedicated awareness teams. The emphasis was on fostering competence and confidence in utilizing these crucial electoral tools.
Dy DEO Kishtwar Naresh Kumar expressed satisfaction over the proactive participation and dedication displayed by all attendees, underscoring the significance of such training sessions in upholding the sanctity of the electoral process.
The initiative signifies a pivotal step towards reinforcing the electoral infrastructure and ensuring a seamless and transparent electoral procedure in Kishtwar district.
