Annual Sports Day celebrated

HIRANAGAR, Dec 15: Annual sports day of K.V. Hiranagar was celebrated on 15th December, 2023. The chief guest on the occasion was Honourable Yograj Sharma, ZPEO Hiranagar. The chief guest was accorded a very warm welcome by the Colour party of the vidyalaya and the chief guest was also accorded a Harit welcome by the Respected Principal Ms. Narinder Kumari by presenting him a sapling.
After this, the chief guest was escorted to the playground of the vidyalaya where Sir hoisted the school flag and also officially declared the sports meet open in the presence of the principal of the vidyalaya. Immediately after this, March past was done by the all the participants. Then Apoorav Sharma, class XII student, administered the oath to the participants. Then welcome song was sung by the students and cultural programme was presented by the students. The cultural items included an action dance by the primary wing and a group dance by the secondary girls.
Subsequently, the sports teacher and the sports coach of the vidyalaya took over and conducted various events under their able guidance. Other staff members extended their cooperation by maintaining discipline among the students and by arranging for various activities. The staff members who were actively involved in some way or the other were - Respected Principal mam Ms. Narinder Kumari, Mr Sanjeev (Vice principal), Mr. Gourav Jamwal (Instructor), Ms Deepika(PET), Mr Naresh (PGT Commerce), Ms. Rashmi (PGT economics), Ms Poonam (PGT Hindi), Ms Drishti (PGT Maths), Ms Manisha (TGT English), Mr Dhananjay (TGT Art), Mr Dharamvir (PGT Physics), Ms Kavita (PGT Biology), Ms Preeti (TGT Skt), Ms. Sangita (TGT Maths), Mr Amarjeet (PRT), Ms Neelam (PRT), Ms Madhvi, Ms. Ashu, Ms Manmeet (Special educator), Mr Akshay (PRT Music). The events that were conducted, included Frog race, 50m race, 200m race, lemon race, Back pack race, and relay race. As far as the winners are concerned, the list of the winners goes as under.
Lemon race:
Winner - Divyansh (class II), Runner up - Gaurik Gupta (class I) and Second Runner up - Arodhya Vrema (class I)
Frog race:
Winner - Mukund (class II), Runner up - Kavya (class I) and Second Runner up - Kritika (class I)
50m race:
Winner - Divyansh (class V), Runner up - Khusav (class IV) and Second Runner up - Enosh (class IV)
Back pack race:
Winner - Avantika (class V), Runner up - Niharika (class V) and Second Runner up - Divyansh (class V)
200m race:
Winner - Divyansh (class II), Runner up - Gaurik Gupta (class I) and Second Runner up - Arodhya Vrema (class I)
Relay race:
Winner -ASHOKA HOUSE, Runner up - TAGORE HOUSE and Second Runner up - RAMAN HOUSE
After the events had been conducted, prizes were given away to the winners by the Honourable chief guest. After the prize distribution, bhangra was presented by the boys of secondary wing. The annual sports was concluded with a race of the staff members. When all the events had been carried out, then all the students who were present, were given refreshment. The students participated very enthusiastically and their enthusiastic participation made the whole event a grand success.
