12/15/2023 11:07:30 PM
Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Dec 15: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal convened a crucial meeting to formulate an action plan to enhance the efficiency of the Ration distribution network. The focal point of discussion was the detailed reevaluation of distances, encompassing road, pony, and head load transportation, from food stores to the Fair Price Shops and sale depots in the jurisdiction of the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) department.
Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal has tasked diverse road agencies with the responsibility of preparing and compiling ground-level data. This will be achieved by deploying dedicated field staff to ascertain accurate distances from Government Food stores to Fair Price Shops. The initiative stems from the recognition that many roads have undergone significant changes in nature throughout the current year, necessitating a comprehensive review of previously established distances.
The importance of this exercise lies in its potential to rectify and update distance metrics, thereby ensuring a more precise understanding of the logistical challenges faced in the distribution of essential commodities. The revised data, anticipated to be submitted by the road agencies within the stipulated timeframe, aligns with the strategic vision outlined by the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri. Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal emphasized the paramount role of accurate distance information in streamlining the distribution process. This verification process is a testament to our commitment to improving the effectiveness of the distribution chain and ensuring that the benefits reach the intended beneficiaries seamlessly.
Road agencies have been directed to undertake this task with utmost diligence, considering the evolving nature of roads and the subsequent impact on transportation dynamics. This comprehensive effort underscores the unwavering dedication of the district administration to enhancing the accessibility and efficiency of essential services, particularly in the vital domain of food distribution. The collaboration between the administration and road agencies reflects a commitment to evidence-based decision-making, ensuring that the citizens of Rajouri continue to receive the highest standard of public service.
