KATHUA, Dec 15: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, an initiative dedicated to the holistic development of rural India, marked a momentous occasion in Sandhar and Jandrali Panachayats in Block Bhoond. Led by the dynamic vision of DDC Chairman Col (Retd) Mahan Singh, the campaign witnessed spirited participation from locals, including PRI members, women, and enthusiastic school students, in a series of impactful activities geared towards community progress and empowerment.
A cornerstone event of this auspicious gathering was the laying of the foundation stone for the ambitious 2km road project, stretching from Bani Road Shahra to Naganna Road. Estimated at a cost of Rs. 3.40 Lac under the NABARD scheme, the road construction, to be undertaken by PWD Basohli, aims to provide crucial connectivity benefiting approximately 7000 residents in the area.
The festivities encompassed a diverse range of activities designed to uplift and educate the community. From drone demonstrations tailored for farmers to the Viksit Bharat Sankalp pledge, medical checkups offered at stalls, and an aggressive awareness campaign conducted through the IEC Van, the atmosphere buzzed with enthusiasm. The overarching goal is to foster a spirit of collective progress, ensuring an inclusive Viksit Bharat that empowers every citizen to actively contribute to the nation's development, aiming for a developed India by 2047.
