Addressing media persons here today Krishan Dev Singh President Sangarsh has stressed the need for having 24 hour medical facility in the campus. The Health Center of Jammu University must not work as the official department with its timing from 9:00am to 5:00pm and remain close on holidays but it should work as the service rendering centre with 24 hours accessibility and having fine equipments and expert staff for tackling the health situations, he added. Singh also pleaded for deploying of two mobile ambulances one in front of Boys hostel and one in front of Girls hostel to counter any sort of incident regarding the health of students and the health centre must recruit new doctors and staff for the fulfillment of 24 hour medical facility. Speaking during the press conference, the General Secretary of the movement Suresh Kumar raised the critical issue of construction and compilation of the new boy's hostel near Vivekananda Boys Hostel. The authorities must know the priorities for the students and their basic needs and must ensure proper hotel facilities to those students who come from outside the Jammu city, he added. Suresh appealed the Vice Chancellor University of Jammu for constructing of four new hostel buildings, two each for boys and girls so that each and every student can avail the hostel facilities. Tabish Tanvir, Chinamaya and Porush Shrikhandia were also present on the occasion.
