| ‘Paygham –e-Aman’ national integration tour flagged off | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 13- Sadbhavana, a project undertaken by the Indian Army for the welfare of the locals of insurgency affected areas, got a boost by organizing a National Integration tour named ’Paygham-e-Aman’. The tour provides a unique opportunity for the people of far flung areas of Surankote tehsil of Poonch district to visit Amritsar, Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Ajmer respectively. The tour being coordinated by a Rashtriya Rifles unit under the aegis of Romeo Force was flagged off, today. The tour will expose the participants to the development in other states and show them places of historical importance. The tour will also assist in developing a sense of national integration amongst the people of these remote areas. During the 10-day tour the participants would get a opportunity to see Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh and Wagah Border at Amritsar. Thereafter they will go to Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Ajmer where they will visit historical and religious places. The tour was flagged off by the Commander wherein prominent military and civil dignitaries were present during the occasion. The guest of honour during interaction with the people asked them to spread the message of peace and goodwill to the places they visit and also see for themselves the rapid pace of economic development in the country. The participants expressed their gratitude to the Army for giving them an opportunity to see other parts of the country which otherwise would not have been possible.
