| GDC Darhal celebrates Sardar Patel's legacy with seminar on his life and contributions | | | Early Times Report
DARHAL, Dec 16: Joining the nation in commemorating the 73rd death anniversary of Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Government Degree College Darhal (GDC Darhal) organized a thought-provoking seminar on his life and contributions to India's independence and unity. The seminar was held under the patronage of the college Principal, Prof. Mussaraf H. Shah, as part of the college's commitment to the "Viksit Bharat Abhiyan @2047" initiative. Dr. Mohd Saleem Wani, Associate Professor & Head of the Department of English, served as the resource person for the seminar.
Dr. Wani's insightful presentation delved into Sardar Patel's life, highlighting his remarkable vision, leadership qualities, and tireless efforts in uniting India after independence. Dr. Wani emphasized the importance of national unity and urged students and faculty members to play their part in defeating the "nefarious designs of enemies" and propelling India towards greater heights.
Prof. Shah lauded the NSS Unit's initiative in organizing the seminar, recognizing its role in raising awareness among youth about the life and contributions of Sardar Patel.
Other faculty members, including Dr. Ghulam Abas, Dr. Ahsan Ul-Rehman, and Dr. Mukhtar Hussain, also contributed to the seminar, enriching the discussion with their perspectives.
