SCERT J&K Organizes successful five-day training program

JAMMU, Dec 16: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Jammu and Kashmir, Divisional Office Jammu, recently concluded a five-day training program on "Capacity Building Training on E-Content Development" at the SCERT Divisional Office in Jammu.
Under the mentorship of Prof.(Dr.) Parikshit Singh Manhas, Director SCERT, J&K, and the guidance of H.R Pakhroo, Joint Director Central Move & supervision of Prof (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor, SCERT, Divisional Office Jammu, the program aimed at enhancing the skills of participants in the development of educational e-content.
The inauguration of the program was led by Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director SCERT Divisional Office Jammu. She emphasized the importance of such training programs and encouraged active participation from the attendees. The welcome address was given by coordinator Lakshmi Puri, and Prof. Surjeet Kumar, Head Academic Unit-III, delivered the keynote address.
The training program featured discussions and presentations by various experts, including Jewan Singh, HOD ECT&CS, Academic Officers Manisha Chun, Anil Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Lakshmi Puri, Vivek Jandiyal, Navneet Gupta, Rajesh Hali, Dr. Balgar Singh, Puneet Thukral, Rakesh Chobber, and Manjusha Kapoor. The sessions covered fundamental principles and best practices for e-content development, hands-on experience with tools like OpenShot video editor, and discussions on digital initiatives, cyber security, digital storytelling, augmented reality, and more.
The program was effectively managed by Academic Officers, including Neena Puri, Poonam Sharma, Seema Matto Koul, Neeraj Jamwal, Arsh Kour, Dr. Sandrve, Parshotam Singh, Dr. Seema Zakir, and Meena Thakur. Technical support was provided by Vivek Jandial, Academic Officer, and Navneet Gupta, Academic Officer. Media support was offered by Tahir Gafoor Mir and Mohd Imtiyaz Mughal.
On the concluding day, participants showcased group presentations and shared valuable feedback. The valedictory function was graced by Prof (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director SCERT Divisional Office Jammu, Prof. Swarn Singh Jaral, Prof. Surjeet Kumar, and other esteemed faculty members. Jewan Singh, HOD ECT & CS department, presented the report of the training program, and the event concluded with a vote of thanks by course coordinator Lakshmi Puri.
