Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 16: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) District President Jammu South Rekha Mahajan hails the Modi-led government for another historical milestone in favor of women empowering to introduce a bill in Lok Sabha on Tuesday passed two bills which seek to provide 33% reservation for women in the assembly of J&K.
The Programme was organized by Mandal President and Vice Chairman Cantonment Board Bharat Bhushan along with District Vice President Narinder Gupta, Preeti Choudhary, Shaktikendra Parmukh Shanti Bakshi, Booth Presidents Tarun and Govind.
Rekha Mahajan while addressing the public stated that it's a "historic step" towards empowering women in the region. She said this master stroke bill for women's reservation enhances the upliftment, confidence, respect, pride, and authority. Rekha claimed that this is the hallmark of "Modi Sarkaar" to empowering women and she lauds India's 75-year history as the moment when half of the nation's population secured adequate representation in the highest legislative body," she remarked, thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for introducing and successfully passing the bill in both houses. Rekha Mahajan asserted whether it was the Mughal rule, the British rule, or the previous governments, women's rights were snatched by everyone but under the vibrant leadership of PM Narendra Modi nation is progressing and touching new heights.
Rekha educates women playing crucial roles in all corners of the country by giving them access to basic utilities like cooking gas, Modi led government empowered women with additional time, which they can choose to use at their own will. She also added that 75% of the house owners of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) are women. This is an unprecedented level of social security that has been conferred on women. The task of Narendra Modi-led NDA was not limited to social empowerment or financial independence for women. The mandate was to deliver both, in adequate proportions, depending on the educational, social, and economic position of the beneficiary. For a woman who not only had to work her way through gender but often worked doubly hard to prove her mettle, times have changed significantly both on personal and professional fronts.
