Glowing tribute, homage paid to Dr Masud Ahmed Choudhary

JAMMU, Dec 16: In a solemn gathering organized by the Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust to mark the first death anniversary of the late Dr. Masud Ahmed Choudhary, a visionary and the Founder of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, participants from diverse backgrounds paid heartfelt tributes to the revered leader. Dr. Choudhary, who passed away on 16th December 2022, left an indelible mark on education, especially for the Gujjar & Bakerwal Tribals.
The ceremony, presided over by Haji Abdul Hamid Choudhary, witnessed the attendance of individuals representing various facets of society, who came together to honor Dr. Masud Ahmed Choudhary's contributions to education and tribal welfare.
The program commenced with the recitation of Tilawat-e-Quran and included floral tributes and Fateha at Dr. Choudhary's grave. Notable personalities, including Madam Mehbooba Mufti, Former Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, expressed admiration for Dr. Choudhary's role in establishing the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri and Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust.
Shah Mohd Chowdhary, Chairman of the Trust, outlined the future goals of the organization, emphasizing the continuation of Dr. Masud Choudhary's vision. Plans include the establishment of a Tribal University, Tribal Women College, Coaching Centre for Civil Services, Nursing College, Skill Development Institutions, and initiatives to promote the Gojri Language.
A documentary on the life and works of Dr. Masud Ahmed Choudhary, prepared by Dr. Javed Rahi, Chief Editor of J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, was showcased during the event.
Several dignitaries, including Taj Mohi-ud-Din, Former Minister & Trustee, and Dr. Ashok Kumar Bhan, Former DGP, shared their experiences and highlighted Dr. Choudhary's dedication to uplifting weaker sections of society.
Madam Mehbooba Mufti released a special edition of Nawa-e-Quam, a weekly Urdu newspaper, and a book titled "Hayat Wa Khidmaat" on Dr. Masud A Choudhary's life, authored by Liakat Ali Choudhary.
The event concluded with the serving of lunch to the attendees, fostering a sense of community and shared commitment to carry forward Dr. Masud Ahmed Choudhary's legacy.
