SKUAST-Jammu's inspires youth participation in Viksit Bharat

JAMMU, Dec 17: In line with the Government of India's ambitious Viksit Bharat@2047 initiative, the Faculty of Basic Sciences at SKUAST-Jammu organized a thought-provoking essay competition on the theme "Empowered Indians." The program is part of the broader Viksit Bharat@2047 (Voice of Youth) campaign, which aims to shape India's future as a developed nation by its 100th year of independence in 2047.
Earlier, Professor S.E.H. Rizvi, Dean of the Faculty of Basic Sciences, and Professor Sanjay Guleria, Head of the Division of Biochemistry, addressed the students, emphasizing the crucial role of the youth in nation-building.
They urged students to channelize their innovative ideas towards contributing to the multifaceted vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, covering social advancement, environmental sustainability, economic prosperity, and good governance.
The essay competition on "Empowered Indians" witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of the Faculty of Basic Sciences.
The event served as a platform for students to express their perspectives on empowerment and its role in shaping the future of the nation.
Heads of divisions and faculty members were actively involved, providing guidance and encouragement to the participating students.
Tek Rajan and Balvinder Kour played pivotal roles in ensuring the smooth execution and successful culmination of the essay competition. Their logistic support contributed to creating an environment conducive to constructive discussions and intellectual exploration.
The essay competition marks a significant step in engaging the youth in the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
