Dr ML Dogra Honored with “International Excellence Award-2023”

NEW DELHI, Dec 17: In a glittering ceremony held at Hotel Vivantaa, Dwarka, New Delhi, Dr. M.L. Dogra, the distinguished Indian theatre personality and scholar from Jammu and Kashmir, was honored with the prestigious "International Excellence Award-2023." The award recognized his remarkable contributions to the fields of Performing Arts and Education on an international level.
The award ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed Chief Guests, including Justice Kurian Joseph, Former Judge Supreme Court of India, His Excellency S.K. Krishna-IAS, Former Union Minister, Government of India, and Alem Tsehaye, Ambassador of Eritrea, Founder Chairman & Council Director - GCCR. The event also saw the presence of notable personalities such as Col. Dr. Divakaran Padma Kumar Pilly, PHD Shuriya Chakra, Institute of Defense, Delhi, Usha Krishan Kumar, President, All India Nurses Welfare International, Chairperson of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Foundation, Prof. Subha Rajan, Senior Fellow, The IMAGINDIA, New Delhi, and Dr. Senorita Isac, Trade Commissioner, Latin American Caribbean Trade Council.
The ceremony commenced with a welcome note by the host, Tony Thomas, and Deepanshi Kapoor, followed by the traditional lamp lighting.
Dance performances by national artists of Sujan Academy added cultural vibrancy to the event.
The International Excellence Awards 2023 aimed at celebrating excellence, providing a platform for networking, and inspiring individuals committed to making a difference in their respective fields.
The awardees, including Dr. M.L. Dogra, were felicitated with Golden Medals, Certificates, and Trophies by the Chief Guests.
Dr. M.L. Dogra, recognized as a legendary icon in Performing Arts, has contributed significantly to theatre for over 50 years.
He has written over 150 lyrical plays, authored numerous books and articles on the cultural heritage of India, and composed more than 2000 songs in Dogri and Hindi languages.
His impact extends to social awareness campaigns, providing opportunities for young talents, and running a Music Center and Computer Institute for education.
Dr. Dogra's dedication to promoting Hindustani Classical music and cultural education was acknowledged and celebrated during the ceremony.
The organizers expressed their heartfelt congratulations to Dr. M.L. Dogra and wished him continued success in his future endeavors. The event concluded on a high note, leaving an indelible mark on the celebration of excellence in the realms of culture, education, and performing arts.
