VIJAYPUR, Dec 23: Government Degree College (GDC) Vijaypur, under the banner of "Viksit Bharat@2047," witnessed an impactful cleanliness drive organized by the NSS Unit (KHIDMAT). The initiative aimed to instill a sense of responsibility towards cleanliness and environmental well-being among the college students.
The cleanliness drive, a crucial step in maintaining a clean and green campus, saw the active participation of NSS volunteers and other enthusiastic students. Approximately 40 NSS volunteers dedicated their time and effort to clean various areas within the college premises, including the campus, playground, parking, and surrounding spaces. The initiative also emphasized the maintenance of plants to enhance the overall environmental aesthetics.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Gupta, providing able guidance, briefed the students about the significance of the cleanliness drive and elucidated on various ways students can contribute to fostering a clean and green environment. She expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the NSS volunteers, encouraging them to persist in their drive until visible results are achieved. Additionally, students were encouraged to register themselves on the my.gov.in portal during the drive.
Supervised by Prof. Poonam Kundan and Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (NSS P O), the event was well-coordinated by Dr. Tisha Singh, Dr. Attied Khawar, Dr. Mazid Malik, and Dr. Jan Mohd. Wani. Their collective efforts ensured the success of the cleanliness drive, aligning with the principles of Viksit Bharat@2047 and reinforcing the importance of individual and collective responsibility towards a cleaner and healthier environment.
