MAHANPUR, Dec 23: The NSS Unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Mahanpur recently organized a spirited marathon focused on the theme 'Idea for Viksit Bharat @2047.' The event, conducted under the supervision of the esteemed Principal, Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, aimed to foster a sense of national development and progress among the participants.
Principal Dr. Sangeeta Sudan commended the efforts of the organizers, congratulating the students and staff for their active participation. The entire event was orchestrated by NSS Program Officer, Dr. Sapna Devi, who played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the marathon.
A group of enthusiastic students, including Mohit Verma, Mohit Singh, Rahul Singh, Mukul Bhor, Payal Sharma, Sonia, Meenakshi Devi, and Kanchan Devi, participated in the marathon. Mohit secured the 1st position in the boys' category, while Kanchan Devi emerged as the winner in the girls' category. In the staff marathon, Surinder Kumar claimed the 1st position. The staff participants included Prof. Suman, Dr. Hilal Ahmed Bhat, and non-teaching staff members.
The marathon not only promoted physical fitness but also served as a platform for expressing ideas and aspirations for the development of India by the year 2047. The enthusiastic participation of students and staff reflected their commitment to contribute to the vision of a developed and prosperous nation.
