| Annual Sports Day celebrations at Tiny Tots Hr Sec School | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 23: Tiny Tots Hr Sec School in Sainik Colony, Jammu, celebrated its Annual Cum Sports Day with enthusiasm. The event witnessed the presence of esteemed guests, including Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director SCERT, Jammu Division, and Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu. The guests of honor, both alumni of Tiny Tots, were joined by Col. Yogendra Gaur of the Indian Army and Sandeep Seth, Chief Engineer PDD.
The event commenced with senior students extending a warm welcome to the guests with showers of rose petals. Dr. Vikram Handa, the Principal of Tiny Tots Hr Sec School, presented the welcome address and the annual report of the school.
The ceremonial torch was lit by the Chairperson, Veena Handa, along with the Director of the School, Gurpreet Handa, and the guests of honor. The torch was carried around the field by the Sports Captain of the School, Shakeel Ahmed. The opening was followed by a guard of honor presented by contingents of different houses.
Kindergarten students added to the excitement with their round of marching, waving tricolours. The day featured the finals of various athletic events, including sprints, long-distance races, long jump, and fun races for junior classes.
Several dignitaries were felicitated for their diligence and hard work, including senior teachers Kiran, Neerja, Suman, Simmi, Rupinder, and Monika.
The guests, including Dr. Daud Iqbal, Prof. Sindhu Kapoor, and Sandeep Seth, praised the efforts of the school management in nurturing students. They motivated the students to work hard, conserve resources, and engage in co-curricular activities.
The event concluded with fun races for both staff and parents. The Chairperson, Veena Handa, lauded the efforts of the students and staff members.
