JAMMU, Dec 23: Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, Additional General Secretary of the National Conference and Former Minister, strongly condemned the recent terror attack on armed forces personnel in the Poonch Sector. Speaking at KANGAR TOP BAGRI in Jammu North Assembly Constituency, Sadhotra expressed deep sorrow for the families who lost their dear ones in the line of duty.
Saluting the bravery and heroism of the security forces and police in combating terrorism, Sadhotra emphasized their supreme sacrifices for the country's integrity and sovereignty. He denounced terrorism as having no place in a civilized world and urged people, irrespective of caste, creed, and religion, to unite against this scourge that poses a significant challenge to humanity.
Turning to local issues, Sadhotra voiced serious concern about the irregular and insufficient supply of drinking water, leading to an acute crisis in Jammu North Assembly Constituency. He also highlighted the deteriorating condition of roads causing numerous problems for the residents. Sadhotra criticized the BJP-led administration for its perceived inaction and called for effective measures to address these issues.
Sadhotra reassured that the National Conference would continue to fight for the people's larger interests and work towards resolving their problems. He urged party members to mobilize at the grassroots level, emphasizing that politically empowered people hold the key to positive change. Sadhotra called for strengthening the cadre at all levels and promoting the party's values of pluralistic ethos.
Prominent figures present at the gathering included Pt Thoru Ram Sharma, Ghar Singh Chib (Ex-Corporator Joint Secretary, Provincial NC Jammu), Rakesh Sharma (District YNC President), Ch Mohd Saleem, and Sahil Pandit.
